WILD WEST AT BOULDER SYMPHONY
JUNE 18TH, 2020
The Boulder Symphony’s latest Curiosity Concert, The Good, the Bad and the Music, rides into town with a family-friendly showdown of classical, pop, and Western film music. Featuring works like Rossini’s William Tell Overture, Copland’s Hoe-Down, and Johnny Cash’s Get Rhythm, the concert spins a playful tale: a bitter loser of the “Best Conductor in the West” contest hijacks the orchestra—only to be challenged by the heroic Sheriff of Musical Harmony.
Led by conductor Devin Patrick Hughes, this musical adventure takes place Saturday, March 11 at Grace Commons Church in downtown Boulder. Kids can also explore an “instrument petting zoo” courtesy of HB Woodsongs, offered 30 minutes before and after the performance. These concerts often sell out, so giddy up and grab your tickets!
